The Rodmay Hotel has been around for over 100 years in the historic district of Townsite. Back in the day, it was pretty hopping in a different way than it is today with a different vibe as the nearby (and now decommissioned) mill was the founding employer of the area.
Over the years, Townsite has changed and grown but still holds lots of history. Townsite continues to be a social hub with restaurants, the Patricia Theatre, the award-winning Townsite Brewing, plus the Townsite Publc Market, with many businesses to service your needs as well as a climbing wall facility and big plans as PRISMA relocates its headquarters there.
The Rodmay continues to thrive hosting visitors from around the world who appreciate its boutique charm and memorabilia from over the century it's been open.
In the Rodmay, there has always been a hair salon or barber shop (and yes, ghosts and energy of the past too!). I'm honoured to be part of that enduring history with every service I provide.

On February 1, 2024, I took over the Madcap Beauty Spot located in the Rodmay when Graham Winter retired. On this day I celebrate my two-year anniversary of launching my business and offering services to my community. I could not have done any of this without the overwhelming support of my clients and friends.
I would like to offer a little something special this month (February 2026) to express my gratitude. For the month of February I'm offering free consultations to showcase my many services, and with every haircut or colour a complimentary deep conditioning treatment and head massage.
When booking your appointment, please note that my bonus on-the-house offerings require an extra 30 minutes during which you will have your hair washed and then deep conditioned under the dryer for 15 minutes, followed by a head massage.
