Happy Spring! We've officially crossed into the season of new beginnings. Flowers pop with an inspiring palette as they capture raindrops and we plan our outfits for a variety of weather.

Whether you're noticing the first seeds sprouting in your garden, enjoying the extra daylight, or packing away your winter wardrobe and beginning to hang and sort your spring clothes, Spring has Sprung and we can definitely feel it in the air.

Living in the qathet region on the Salish Sea at this time of year means transitioning from heavy wool sweaters and packing away our layers of waterproof quilted jackets, cozy long johns, and those thick socks we've paired with our rain boots that have sometimes done double duty as snow boots over the last few months.

Depending on how each of our days roll between work, causal, and activities, we still layer but lighter and still in a way that reflects our individual style and with colours that compliment our skin tone. The layers are lighter but still practical as who knows what the weather will be from the time we leave our homes to when we return to that very same door at the end of the day. We may experience blue skies, rain, wind, even hail over the course of only a few hours. To be prepared for anything and everything Mother Nature may throw our way, a lighter rain jacket or trench coat is a good bet along with a sweater vest over a button-up shirt with a T-shirt underneath, along with a skirt, tights and chelsea rain boots. And just in case the weather turns fair, pack a pair of thinner socks along with a pair of ballet flats.

Better to be over-prepared than not!

Happy Spring and thanks for stopping by my blog.
